Our first visit to a starred restaurant so we didn't know what to expect. The food was like nothing we'd experienced - presented beautifully and all of it tasty. The service was perfect. Polite, measured and patient. Go there as soon as you can. I fail to see how anyone could not completely enjoy this dining experience.
Have managed to eat here twice which is no mean feat as anyone who has tried to book knows! On both occasions, the food was simply outstanding. The surroundings are intimate to say the least (8 diners the 1st time and 9 the 2nd). Tom (front of house) is very knowledgeable about their wines and the playlist from DJ chef dishes it off nicely.

First visit to a Gusto, would rate it as fair. This particular restaurant is in a fantastic location, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the historic and funky surroundings of Albert Dock! Between us we had a pasta and pizza dish - the menu was fairly standard for an Italian chain, think ASK Italian and Pizza Express. The food was good quality with portions to fill you up. The waitress was very friendly and professional, helping us move tables when the night turned chilly. Made for a lovely evening and would be happy to return again in the future.
Here in Liverpool for a conference during the week. The only reason I honestly tried here is because it was the only place still within walking distance from the hotel to be serving food after 10pm. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating and the food was equally spectacular; infact one of the best fillet steaks I’ve perhaps ever had! For 3 and a half courses (deep fried ravioli for the picky-bits, calamari starter, Fillet steak main, brownie dessert) for £45, Gusto would be the first restaurant I’d return to, should I ever be blessed to be in Liverpool again. 5*’s all round!
