An excellent branch of the Nationwide, with friendly and helpful staff. The manager, Jan, is nothing short of exceptional regarding her assistance with any banking related enquiries or services. A prime candidate for the next manager of the year without any further consideration!

Friendly staff with a strong focus on customer service. Meetings were prompt and service times were faster than your usual banking affair.

I. love. it

Local Chambers of Commerce for CH41 0PF. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
Liverpool Town Hall

High St, Liverpool L2 3SW, UK – 0151 233 3020

Visited here for a festive evening tea. The entrance is manned by a doorman who asks why you're here. The entrance is grandiose with a Minton tiled floor and beautiful red carpeted ornate brass balaustraded sweeping staircase. This is a historic building with museum-like sculptures and huge oil paintings/artworks in every room. Antique furniture - fine artworks seem to be around every corner! The view from the upper windows down Castle Street is photograph worthy especially at night. Our food on the day was beautifully presented and the staff were extremely attentive, polite and knowledgeable. Oh the toilets are spot on too! 👍🏼

Had a chance to have a good wander round a couple of years ago at Lightnight, beautiful building with some striking architecture, its a shame it's not open to the public more often

Wallasey Town Hall

Brighton St, Wallasey CH44 8ED, UK

The constitutional head quarters of Wirral Council. All Council meetings are held here and most are open to the public. Several departments are based here and the North and South Annexe nearby. A One Stop Shop is based here to deal with your enquiries. It's also a popular wedding venue / registry office.

Great place for fishing the Mersey, parking close by. Can be fished at high or low water

Park Road North Dental Practice

406 Park Rd N, Birkenhead CH41 0DA, UK – 0151 652 3032

I highly recommend this dental practice. Always space for NHS patients. But most importantly for me they have given me confidence to complete my courses of dental treatment. I have a phobia of dentists and the respect for that at this practice is phenomenal. I had a new dentist today so was especially apprehensive. I need not have feared as Dr James Walker , with his lovely assistant Becky, were so kind, gentle and understanding that I actually enjoyed the visit! I cannot praise this surgery higher. Always accomodating in emergency and reception staff welcoming and efficient.

Great dentist always taking new nhs patients very helpful

St Catherines Health Centre

Church Rd, Birkenhead CH42 0LQ, UK – 0151 514 2888

Excellent experience here today. Premises sparkling, staff very polite and efficient. Department I visited very slick and very quick.*****

I came to the Health Centre by mistake for a hospital appointment on 21st November at 11.00am. I had forgotten my appointment letter so couldn't check where I should be. The lady on reception was so helpful. She tracked my records from Clatterbridge and found I should have been at Victoria Hospital in Wallesey! She then phoned them to explain what had happened and could they wait for us. When we got there 40 Minutes late! They had waited including the Consultant. I didn't remember her name but hope someone can identify her and thank her on our behalf. She really went the extra mile xx

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

St Paul's Church

Church Cres, Wallasey CH44 7AY, UK

Gorgeous church and seeping with history ⛪

What a beautiful church - and I don't just mean the building - but rather the wonderful, vicar I met there on 8 July 2016 when photographing a beautiful couple's wedding. Most vicars make my job as a wedding photographer very difficult, but he was full of smiles and happiness, giving me freedom to document the couple's emotions during their wedding ceremony. The congregation all appear to know and love him too, singing along to joyous music. The church ladies had also created two impressive flower arrangements at the front of the church. This is one place of worship in a million, that wants to celebrate a wedding, spreading an atmosphere of love, rather than to preside over it like God himself.

St Catherine’s Church

Church Rd, Birkenhead CH42 0LD, UK – 0151 652 7379

A wonderful church with gospel led teaching and a fab church family

Our Lady Star of the sea and Saint Joseph Catholic Church

Wheatland Ln, Wallasey CH44 7ED, UK – 0151 638 1520

A well attended and popular church with an extremely friendly congregation. A variety of attendant priests provide variety, as two alternate sung masses, a folk choir and traditional organ. Social events are numerous. After mass refreshments prove popular. More information on mass times etc on blog would be useful 7/10

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Birkenhead

Bem Brasil Liverpool

47-49 Hanover St, Liverpool L1 3DN, UK – 0151 709 0044

Great selection of meats, all expertly cooked. It's very convenient: meat is brought to your table on big skewers and you pick and mix what you want. If you want something to drink, definitely try the Caipirinha! Prices are something to be wary of, but you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Food was delicious, service not the fastest. Staff are friendly. Would recommend.

The Restaurant Bar & Grill

Halifax House, Brunswick St, Liverpool L2 0UU, UK – 0151 236 6703

Went with 15 work colleagues for our Christmas night out. We had the set menu with plenty of choices. Food was lovely and plenty of it. surroundings are very classy. Bit of a mix up with peoples ordered-choices but soon sorted. Staff attentive. And everyone enjoyed it. Would definitely go again

Beautiful meal. I opted for barbecued ribs which were beautiful and the chips were real chips, they were lovely. I followed with ice cream. Just scrumptious. Could not fault it. Very friendly staff. Will be returning.

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Unit P3R Block, 13 Paradise St, Liverpool L1 8JF, UK – 0151 708 6600

First visit while shopping with daughter on a Saturday. The location was convenient and the que to dine was short. We were guided to a 2 person table and told our options. The waiter spoke quick and was alot to take in but i nodded and smiled!! I had steak flatbread and sweet potato fries. Daughter had margharita pizza and sweet potatoe fries. I mine excellent and i would choose it again. Daughters pizza was greasy but waiter noticed this and offered her a replacement. Overall a great experience and we were fuelled for more shopping!!! Give the place a go!!

Great food and good atmosphere and salad bar but the service is quite slow.

Nursery and Preschools

Bright Horizons Eldonians Day Nursery and Preschool

Burlington St, Liverpool L3 6LG, UK – 0151 298 2521

A lovely friendly nursery. My daughter settled very quickly at 6 months old and I trust the staff completely. They were very good with settling in sessions, helping me get over the initial dread of leaving her for the first time. They introduce her to new healthy foods. The menu is great. She comes home with a little report each day to let me know what she has been up to. It sounds like she has lots of fun. I feel like I definitely made the right choice and I visited a few day nurseries before I decided on kids unlimited.

Good looking from street side. Never been there but looks pretty nice!
